Golf GPS units need the information from that particular course loaded into the unit. A disadvantage of laser rangefinders, however, is the time needed to use it effectively. Golf GPS is a much easier and faster system to use.

My brother gave me a GPS Garming 660 model. I fix it, but has an access code, a key code… Do somebody know how to bypass that code, is there a code cracker or a default code.. or any other program can I use to use it. Thanks for your answers

I have a Garmin nuvi 1300T and i was wondering if i can charge it at home from the computer.
i have a USB cable from my camera that matches the usb entrance on the nuvi.

If I’m at my house and wanting to know how long it will take to get somewhere or simply just view the directions before I go somewhere ( like a list view of some sort), can I do this on my garmin or do I have to be actually driving and wait for it to tell me where to go?

Walmart has Nuvi 350 for $148 and Nuvi 360 for $179. Both are discontinued models, but are great deals considering they are WAAS enabled and have text to speech. The 360 is also Bluetooth compatible so you can send/receive calls thru it’s speaker. Apparently Garmin is now offering a “nuMap” guarantee, allowing a one time free upgrade to the most recent maps. I can’t confirm nor deny that the 350 or 360 are eligible for the upgrade.
Even if you have to pay the $69 for the map upgrade, both of these units are still a good deal at this price. While newer models of Nuvi can be found in this price range, they do not offer the text-to-speech option. For those of you not in the know, text-to-speech says the street name, instead of just saying “turn right in 900 feet”.
