GPS Review for Garmin, Magellan, and Tomtom

i know the unit is yours once you buy it… but how much do you have to pay a month to use the GPS feature? how much do you pay to use other features?
i’m thinking of getting one for my hubby for his b-day, but i don’t want to get him something we’re going to have to dump money into every month!

I have looked at some of the free ones and they’re pretty poor. I need to get a selection to use whilst on long business trips, just to lighten the trip a little. Thanks in advance

No monthly fee, although you can end up paying for software updates. No it cannot be tracked. If is a receiver, not a transmitter !!!
