GPS Review for Garmin, Magellan, and Tomtom

Which navigation is better Tom Tom or Garmin nuvi??? I would like to purchase the best but not more than 375 dollars. Can someone please answer my question which one is better and why and where can i get the best deals??? Why is the answer u chose the best?? Please answer me. Easy 10 points.

Both the Garmin Nuvi and TomTom lines of GPS devices are very good and almost have exactly the same features.
The Garmin however does allow some really cool customizations like changing your vehicle icon that is displayed on screen and the TomTom has a low quality icon that is displayed on the screen.
Other than that not too much sets the two lines of GPS devices apart.
I would identify a model that you like and had the features that you want in both the Garmin and the TomTom and then compare the prices on them.

I found all three for about the same price. I’m looking for a Christmas gift for my husband. We live in Alberta, Canada. He works in the oilfield.

I have the TOM TOM and my girlfriend has the Garmin. I like the functionality of the TOMTOM, but the Garmin has a little more features. Of course the bigger, more expensive models have more bells and whistles on it. It just depends on which you like better, and the current sale going on. Because the low end GPS are very comparable.
