GPS Review for Garmin, Magellan, and Tomtom

I want to know where i can get FREE garmin map updates for my nuvi 200. I supposedly got a free update for registering my gps, but just to find that while downloading it actually removed the previous existing map, now i have no map!!

I have looked at some of the free ones and they’re pretty poor. I need to get a selection to use whilst on long business trips, just to lighten the trip a little. Thanks in advance

I just need a GPS for driving around my area because I deliver mattresses. But I would also like to use it when I go on trips to the beach, concerts, just general stuff. Can anyone recommend a sufficient model for me to buy. And maybe some advice on which brands are better, I’ve only heard of Garmin and TomTom. Thanks!
